Sharing your story
Your stem cell transplant journey is powerful. Sharing your story can inspire others, raise awareness, and help us recruit more donors to the registry.
We understand that this can be a deeply personal and emotional experience. Your story can help give someone else hope, and we will treat it with the care and respect it deserves.
How you can share your story
There are several ways you can share your experience and make an impact:
Through your own networks:
Sharing your transplant journey with your friends, family, or social media followers is a great way to spread the word about the importance of stem cell donation. If you choose to share your story online, tag us @Stemcelldonorsau so we can amplify your message and help more people learn about how they can make a difference.
Through Stem Cell Donors Australia:
If you’d like to share your story more widely, we would love to hear from you. Whether through a blog post, video, or testimonial, your experience can inspire others to join the registry or support our cause. Simply contact us to discuss how we can help share your journey.
Create an online appeal:
By creating an online appeal, you can directly encourage your community to join the registry and support life-saving stem cell donations. Head over to our current appeals section to learn more.
Become an Advocate:
If you’re passionate about raising awareness, you can become an official advocate for us. As an advocate, you’ll have the opportunity to help us with outreach and donor recruitment. If you’re interested, get in touch and we’ll provide more information.
Want to say thanks to your blood stem cell donor?
Now’s your chance. Please submit your message to let your stem cell donor know how you feel about their donation and what it has meant for you. We ask that you do not provide any personal information that could identify you. This includes your name, where you are receiving treatment, when you received your transplant etc. We are committed to maintaining the anonymity and privacy of both donors and recipients. If you would like to contact your donor directly, please speak to your Transplant Coordinator.
